By Thursday, I had hit my breaking point. I talked with your doctor late Thursday, we
decided to permanently supplement your diet (mainly at night) with formula and
not breastfeed ever 1 ½ hours (thank God!).
We also got the green light to let you sleep for as long as you want at
night (which is 4 hours most of the time).
Friday, you were a new baby. So
happy and sleeping much better. On
Friday, we also met with the pool guy in Murphy to design a pool. Neither your dad nor mom had a pool growing
up and always wanted one. We know you
will love it. It’s so exciting watching
the progress of our house come together.
We walk there with you almost on a nightly basis and talk to you about
the plans. We can’t wait to move in and
for the memories that the three of us will share together. Saturday was your Papa’s birthday, so we went
to a Gladys Knight concert (which you slept through most of) and went to your
Uncle Brian’s house for a cook out.
I think you are starting to “ooh” and “awe” without sound
when you see something that is really interesting. You push your lips together making an o. It’s so adorable!
You attended your first concert / revival – Gladys Knight (she
directed a choir at Mimi and Papa’s church).
You gave us the biggest gummy smile at the concert. I can’t wait for you to start smiling on a
regular basis. It’s truly heartwarming.
You love lights and fans - like they rock your world. You are such a sweet little cuddle bug especially after you have eaten. You have quite the stretching regimen. When you wake up, you go through a
5 minute series of stretches, stretching everything from your arms, body and
legs. You love to be held and watching people talk to you. Eating in general is your number one favorite activity. You love to put your hands near your face just like you did in the womb. You love to stroll. You sleep like a champ in your Rock N Play and the swing.
You don't like getting your diaper changed. In fact, you detest it. You don't like changing clothes and you hate baths.
First restaurant outing - Matt's Ranchero ofcourse!
