Well, the house is still isn’t done and we are still
homeless. Luckily the Darnells still like us and we can still stay with them.
For the Fourth of July, we went to Canyon Lake to be with our great friends, Jenny and Jared Friend, and Jenny's family. Jenny's parents have a great lake house right on Canyon Lake. They had family in from all over the place and we were thankful that they could take in some homeless people from Dallas as well.
The first night we spent the night at Jenny's uncle's house. We spent the actual fourth back at the lake house. You got to swim some and play with Ryan, Allie and her cousins. We lit off fireworks right on the shore. Of course you had passed out well before the fireworks. On Saturday, we swam some more and just relaxed. On Saturday night, we had a bonfire. It was too late for our little sleepy head. You are still so little so you sleep a lot. On Sunday, we stopped by the Jester King Brewery before heading back to Dallas. You seemed to like the brew tour and you didn't even mind that we stopped for lunch to taste the beer before hitting the road.
The next week we started school. We started you your new school. It was ideal that we were able to get you in the week before I had to start back to work, so I could drop you off for a few hours and adjust to not having you at home. My friend Lauren (her son is William) goes there and you are in his old classroom. You have wonderful teachers. Nancy and Amy are your teachers in the morning. Rosa and Jordan are your teachers in the evening. I really like Rosa. She is from Guatemala and has two boys of her own. The teachers all love you and always comment on how good you are. You are an extremely happy baby! There are two other boys that are the same age in your class. Teddy was born 3 days before you and Thomas was born a week after you. You are much bigger than both of them. You have your own crib. Rosa put a lights machine on the side of your crib and you love it! She has also been working with you on tummy time. You don’t seem to hate tummy time as much as you used to. And you are so strong! Whenever you do tummy time, you can lift your head up now and keep it up.

Last weekend, we went to dinner with Jasmine and Trey at
Chino in Trinity Oaks and then your Great Aunt Phyllis’ 70th
birthday! You met cousins Mark and Mari, Todd and Grace, Peter Jr. and many others. Everyone loved seeing you. The World Cup was Sunday night and you
watched as Germany won! This past
weekend, since the house wasn’t ready, your mom met 9 of her girlfriends in
Fredricksburg for a Girl’s Weekend. She
missed her boys SO much!!!! You and your
daddy had a Dude Weekend and on Saturday night, met up with your Nonnie,
Grandad, Laura and Son, Alex and Brian and Thip. You had so much fun! Your daddy sent me many pictures of you
smiling.
